Stay Alert to Fraud

Stay Alert to Fraud

As we get closer to System Integration, you may receive communications from ALLIANCE about what to expect, what you need to do, and when you can access your accounts. Unfortunately, whenever there’s a big change, fraudsters may see an opportunity to impersonate a financial institution and try to get members’ information.

The good news? A little awareness can go a long way.

Know what to expect from ALLIANCE
During System Integration, ALLIANCE may contact you with important information about your accounts, Online Banking, debit card, and other changes related to the integration. These communications are designed to help you prepare and know what to expect.

However, ALLIANCE will never ask you to provide your password, full debit card PIN, or one-time security code through
an unsolicited email, text message, or phone call.

If you’re ever unsure whether a message is really from ALLIANCE, don’t click the link or provide any information. Instead, contact us directly using a phone number or website you already know is legitimate.

Be cautious of unexpected messages
Fraudsters can make emails, texts, and phone calls look surprisingly convincing. During System Integration, be especially cautious of messages that:

  • Ask you to verify your account information through a link.
  • Tell you that your account will be locked or closed unless you act immediately.
  • Ask for your password, PIN, or security code.
  • Request that you move money or make a payment to “protect” your account.
  • Claim there is a problem with your account and ask you to call an unfamiliar number
  • Use urgency or threats to pressure you into making a quick decision.

Stop. Take a moment. Verify.
A legitimate message shouldn’t make you panic or decide before you’ve had a chance to think it through.

A few simple ways to protect yourself
As System Integration approaches, take a few minutes to make sure you’re prepared:

  1. Know where to go. Access ALLIANCE Online Banking and the ALLIANCE Mobile App through the official channels you normally use. Avoid accessing your account through links in unexpected emails or text messages.
  2. Keep your information private. Your password, PIN, and one-time security codes are yours alone. Don’t share them with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.
  3. Slow down. Fraudsters often rely on urgency. If something doesn’t feel right, take a step back and verify the information before acting.
  4. When in doubt, contact us. If you receive a suspicious message or are unsure whether a communication is legitimate, reach out to ALLIANCE directly using a trusted contact method.

System Integration is a big milestone. Staying informed is one of the best ways to prepare.

We’ll continue providing information about System Integration and what to expect as the date gets closer. Keep an eye on communications from ALLIANCE, use our official resources, and remember that you don’t have to act on a suspicious message just because it looks urgent.

hank you for your patience and partnership as we bring our systems together. We appreciate you being part of ALLIANCE and look forward to using this next step to serve you even better.

Stay informed. Stay alert. And when in doubt, verify.
