Who can Join ALLIANCE Credit Union?

How to become a member

Becoming a member of ALLIANCE Credit Union is easier than ever! We have recently expanded our geographic field of membership to include 43 counties spanning Texas, as well as two other conduits for membership eligibility.

You are eligible for membership if you, your spouse, or any immediate family members live, work, or worship in the following counties:
Andrews, Bailey, Bexar, Borden, Castro, Cochran, Coke, Comal (portion west of U.S. 281), Concho, Crosby, Dawson, Fisher, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Howard, Kent, Kendall, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Martin, Mitchell, Nolan, Parmer, Potter, Randall, Runnels, Scurry, Swisher, Tarrant, Terry, Tom Green, and Yoakum.

You are also eligible if you live, work, worship, or attend school within a 10-mile radius of our Polaris or Golden Triangle Branches, including the following ZIP codes: 76006, 76012, 76013, 76016, 76021, 76022, 76034, 76039, 76040, 76051, 76052, 76053, 76054, 76092, 76101, 76102, 76103, 76104, 76105, 76106, 76107, 76108, 76109, 76110, 76111, 76112, 76114, 76115, 76116, 76117, 76118, 76119, 76120, 76127, 76131, 76135, 76137, 76148, 76178, 76179, 76180, and 76248.

Other ways to become a member

In addition to our service area, ALLIANCE Credit Union welcomes members of the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation and the Friends of the Lubbock Library.

If you are already a member of either group, you automatically qualify for membership with ALLIANCE Credit Union. Not a member yet? If you are eligible to join one of these organizations, ALLIANCE Credit Union will cover your first year of membership dues, making it easy to get started.

Join ALLIANCE. We're different in a lot ways. Mainly, we're a not-for-profit financial cooperative, a fancy way of saying our members are our owners and decisions are made with members' best interests in mind. Whatever profits we make go back to members in the form of higher dividends, lower rates, and better access through improved technology.

Join online or stop by any of our branches to open your share account (called that because it gives you a share of credit union ownership).

A $5 minimum deposit is required to open all share (savings) accounts, making you a member-owner of the credit union and giving you voting rights in our board elections.
A $50 minimum deposit is required to open all checking accounts.

Before You Open Your Account

Whether you open your account online or in a branch, you’ll need one valid form of government-issued photo identification. Acceptable forms of identification include, but are not limited to:

Driver’s License
State-issued ID Card
Passport
U.S Government or Military ID

For minor accounts, a government-issued photo ID is required to open a checking account. For savings-only accounts for minors, acceptable documentation may include a Social Security card or birth certificate.
